To the one that reads this:
A letter of encouragement.
Believe it or not, It's almost a year since my grandfather passed on. I believe he is in a special place now, and I believe that my experience with him was short lived but still filled with memories.
It's hard to hear of a loved one leaving your journey, your path or you life. It's almost as if they were your right arm, so you honestly do feel like you're lost.
Even more if it's the first person that's walked away for good in your life, how do you react ? Do you cry, do you just carry on smiling at work or stop and just stare blankly into space ?
That was exactly me, I sat there confused, as I never felt before what its like to loose someone, especially after seeing them or talking to them not so long ago.
All these emotions flow through, and it's absolutely normal for us to experience different emotions at once. But know, you're not alone in this.
For those who are firm believers of Christ, the ones dear to your heart are taken into heaven and of course waiting for us also to walk through the golden gates.
Even if the pictures fade away, they remain in our blood and therefore will never be forgotten. Remind yourself they are a permanent mark like a tattoo.
I want to assure you that the emotions of happiness will surface upon the time of grief.
You are still a strong soul guided by the one who once walked on your journey.
Stay strong and be at peace.
That's the only way I can think of to help you know he or she rests peacefully.
